River Plate mutton, heavy, 3fd; light, 3fd; beef, hindquarters, 3fd. v (Last week's quotations were: — Frozen Meat.—Mutton—North Island, 3d; best brands, 3|d; Canterbury, light 4d, medium 3|d, heavy 3|d; Southland, none offering. Lamb.—Canterbury, light and medium, ssd, heavy, 6d; Southland, 6d; North Island, s|d. Beef.—Ox forequarters 2 13-16 d; ox hindquarters 3fd. River Plate mutton —Heavy 3fd; light 3d; beef—forequarters 2Jd, hindquarters 3jd.) Rabbits.—Rabbits were in good demand, young retailing at 13s 6d to 14s. METALS. Silver.—2s l_d pei* oz. Copper.—On spot £58 17© 6d per ton, three months' £59 6s per ton. Tin.—'On spot £140 per ton, three months' £137 15s per ton. Antimony.—£lo per ton. Lead.—£l4 per ton. MISCELLANEOUS. Hemp.—The market is firmer; Feb-ruary-March shipment £23 10s. Copra.—The market is firmer. South Sea £15 2s (3d per ton. Linseed 0i1.—£23 15s per ton. LONDON WOOL SALES. At the London wool sales business was slow, and there were heavy withdrawals of speculators' lots, but shabby cross-breds were slightly easier j food wools were firm.
