DRINKING AT CRICKET MATCHES.

PAVILION BARS. , [Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, February 28. The attention of the City Council has been called to the drinking of intoxicating liquors in the pavilion at Victoria Park- It was stated that cricketers in various stages of intoxication were seen in the pavilion, and some of the rooms were literally turned into bars. The Counoil referred tho matter to the Works Committee.
