— — ♦ THE DRTTCE CLAIMS. MISS ROBINSON'S EVIDENCE.
United Press Association— By Eleotrio T-legraphwOopyright. LONDON, November 22. ' Miss Robinson was closely cross-ex-amined regarding the dates when she was associated with Charles Dickens. She stated that she was much deceived if Mr Avory was correct. She did not think that the Lion Hotel at Worksop, where she stayed for a. few days with her mother, was kept by a man named Pearce. She went to lodgingkept by Mrs Pearce, a lone woman. Her mother took lodgings, and ..gave witness's name as Madame Tussau-L Mr Avory asked : Were you a girl of seventeen? Miss Robinson replied : I was not like a little chicken. The witness was further questioned in the direc-ion of testing her local knowledge of Welbeck. Answering a final question, she admitted that £2#o had been cabled tojher at Christchurch, New Zealand, last January to come to England. ' The hearing of the case was .adjourned to Wednesday if possible, otherwise Friday.
