♦ — - BRAZIL'S ENTERPRISE. United Press Association— By Elcotrio Telegraph — Cojpright. (Received November 1, 10.34 a.m.) LONDON, October 31. In. connection with the fifth new Dreadnought's equipment, cabled on September 17, it is now stated that the 13.5 in guns mentioned are destined for two Brazilian 21,000-ton battleships, which are in course of construction at the Elswick Barrow yai'ds. (A cablegram from London on September 17, said:— "The 'Daily Express ' states that a fifth Dreadnought will be commenced at Portsmouth immediately. Her displacement will be 20,000 tons, and her armament eight 13.0 in guns. The Admiralty's decision is attributed to the failure of the Hague Conference to limit armaments."
