Another deputation asked for concessions in connection with the hoot and leather industries. Mr Bailey, of Sydney, hoped that the duty on skivers would be retained. If tihie were done , his firm would remove plant at present i in New Zealand to Australia, and start manufacturing skivers. Mr Chapman promised to consider the question.
