TRENTHAM TRAINING NOTES.

[Peb Press Association.! WELLINGTON, July 18. The training tracks at lrentham were heavy as a result of the frost, and poor times were registered. Shrapnel Shell and Mireita went once round in company, both moving freely. Clanchattan covered seven furlongs in good style. Chatterer and Chicane finished together at the end of six furlongs. Hatley went a mile by himself, struggling hard for his head, Jlhama covered two miles steadily, finishing fast, and Haydn did similar work. Cavalry and Montigo reeled off a mile in good etyle, the latter having: much the best of the gallop. Intelligence finished a little in front of Medallist at tie end of four furlongs. Kuku and Kurawaka galloped six furlongs, Kurawaka showing the way at the finish.. Waitarere covered two miles at three-quarter pace, and Paritutu negotiated four obstacles satisfactorily. A number of other horses were also exercised.
