FROZEN MEAT MARKET.

[Pjbb Press Association.] NAPIER, April 25. The Colonial Consignment and Distributing Company has cabled the following report on the frozen meat market : — "To-day's quotations are — Canterbury mutton 4d, Napier, Wellington and North Island 3|d. Xamb, first quality s§d, second quality 4£d. Beef, hindquarters 3 sd, forequarters 2|d."

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, has received the following cable message from its London Office, under date April 24 : — We expect the next wool sales will open at about present quotations, except that the market will be slightly easier for coarse cross-bred wool. We quote present spot values for the following descriptions of tallow: — Fine mutton 36s per cwt, good beef 33s 6d per cwt, mixed 31s 9d per cwt; market quiet.
