At a banquet given by the Prince of Wales in honour of the Premiers and their wives the guests included Princess Louise, the Duke of Argyle, Sir Henry Campbell-Banner-man, the Duke and Duchess of Sutherland, Lord and Lady Lanedowne, the Earl and Countess of Derby, Lord Elgin, the Countess of Selbourne, Lord Knuteford, Lord Tennyson, and the Hon A. and Mrs Lyttelton. At a subsequent reception held at Marlborough House qne hundred and fifty gueste were present, and included the colonial visitors at the Hotel Cecil who were not present at the banquet, Prince Alexander of Teck, Lord and Lady Robers, Sir Redvers and Lady Buller, Lord and Lady Wolseley, Lord and Lady Strathoona, Sir Evelyn Wood, Sir George and Lady White, Lord and Lady Jersey, Lord and Lady Onslow, Lord and Lady Beauchatnp, Lord and Lady Ranfurly, Lord and Lady Brassey, Sir George and Lady Clarke, and the Agents-General.
