The husband was charged with the mother of the infant, under Section© 148 and 149 of the Criminal Code, enacting that the head of a family who fails to provide the necessities of life for a person in his. charge who is under the age of sixteen yeara is criminally responsible if death supervenes. Both accused were committed for trial.
