The man Mueller, an ex-teacher, who was sentenced to death at Bayreuth in November for the murder of Bertha Wuenschelanger, an eleven-year-old pupil, whose body, after lying in his bedroom all night, he buried in a wood next morning, is now undergoing hie trial for the murder of a widow named Endera. When sentence was pronounced in November, the Judge laid Mrs Enders's skull on the table, and summoned the prisoner to swear on it that he was innocent. Mueller broke down, and confessed that he was guilty. He has now repudiated the confession, saying that he made it hoping that he would be sent to an asylum. In making the repudiation he revealed has sanity. __^^_______ -
