The marriage of the Primate of New Zealand (Bishop Nevill) to Miss LUa Fynes-Clinton, in England, last week came as x surprise to the friends of the contracting parties in Milton (says the "Mirror.") As a girl the bride lived in Milton for some years, her father being the Rev Fynes-Clinton. vicar of St John's Church. She acted as companion to the late Mrs Nevill, who died twelve months tago. The Primate ia over three score and ten ; Mrs Novill is not yet thirty years of age. Mr Patersou, chief engineer of the Warrimoo, will leave for the Old Country by the Kumara in the interests of the Union Company. The following passengers have been booked for "Wellington by the s.s.
