German exporters, writing to the Berlin newspaper, " Der Blatt," admit in the abstract the justice of Australia conceding preference to the Motherland, though they, censure the Germans residing in the Commonwealth for neglecting to actively oppose the movement. One firm writes that it will be difficult efficiently to retaliate without seriously injuring Germany's woollen and shipping interests.
