ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
*~ ATTEMPTED SUICIDE. [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, August 21. A wman named Christina Ross, who was arrested for drunkenness, made an attempt on her life by making incisions in her wrist- with the rough edge of a pannikin. She was removed to the hospital, and her condition is reported to be fairly good. - The body of the man found in a guliy on the Port Hills on Sunday is still unidentified. It lies, at the Morgue., where an inquest will be\.h©la at 3 p.m. to-day.
