A public meeting regarding the pro* posed Inangaihua County Council Bill, providing for the re-imposition of the gold duty instead of the Rating Act, resolved to support the Council. The meeting was lively, and discussion was keen and heated. The Bill is strongly opposed by the companies, but is keenlz advocated by the miners. •
