[Per Pbess Association.] INVERCARGILL, August 21. A meeting of the directors of the Caledonian Society protested strongly against the Scottish Society, Chribtchiirch, organising Exhibiton sports on January 1 and 2, days when almost all t'ne old-established societies hold their annual gatherings. It was v resolved to urge kindred societies to co-operate in reg lies ting a change of date, so as to fit in. with the New Zealand Athletic Union's gathering at the end of January.
