OPINIONS OF FRENCH STATESMEN.
(Received August IS, 8.51 a.m.) PARIS, August 17. M. Combes, ex-Premier of France, (says that he considers that the eneyplical letter will be the death-knell of the Roman Catholic Church in France. M. Briand, Minister of Public Worship, declares that the law will hare the last word. Other Ministers declare against any concessions being granted.
