The Pretoria correspondent reports tliat the late Mr Alfred Beit's N estate is valued at £9,000,000, and that nearly the whole of the -'ncome will be placed at the disposal of the late Mr Cecil Rhodes' s executors. It is intended liberally to endow, tie Tfansyaal University apd Technical College. (City friends estimated the late Mr Alfred' Beit's fortune at '£25,000.000 to £30,000,000. It; was expected that many millions ihad been left for public purposes.)
