The Hon W. P. Reeves and Messrs A. E. G. Rhodes and F. Wilding have arranged with the Marylebone Cricket Club for an amateur team to visit New Zealand and play fifteen matches. The team will arrive in the colony on December 10.

(Mr F. C. He received a reply from Mr Lacey, secretary of the Marylebone Olub, saying that nothing oould be settled until the English oricket season opened, but promising to do the best he could. The New Zealand Council wished the English test team that was to visit Australia this season to extend its tour to New Zealand. But owing to tihe dispute in Australia with regard to the tour not being Settled' the 'M.C.C.' had decided not to send a team to Australia, but to 'accept New Zealand's invitation. Mr Raphael said he had no idea of the personnel of v the team, but expected a letter from Mr Lacey by tha next mail, when the Council would meet to arrange matters in connection with the visit.) **
