OPERA HOUSE
There was an unusual attraction at the Opera House last evening, the entertainmeat being held under the patronage of the Imperial Football Club. This is a substitute for the . customary annual smoke concert, and affords a very good entertainment for the members and friends of the club. The hall was opened early, and shortly after seven o'clock the club members commenced a programme under their own conduct, prior to the regular entertainment ; and even at that early hour there was a large attendance. At the ordinary time of opening the house was packed. Several excellent items were given by members of the club, some of them being interspersed in the ordinary programme. This was of the usual character. Mi&s Stella Vernea 6ang a couple of pretty songs very nicely, and there were many other vocal items of undoubted excellence. It was the last appearance of Em Era. the ventriloquist, and his place will be taken to-night by Frank King, a descriptive vocalist. A. L. Cropp and Craydon and Barton will also appear for the last time this week.
