" Yes, thank God !" she exclaimed, giving a sigh of relief when she^aw her Father leave the water in -safety; " Now you must put me down, I can walk quite easily." "Not yet," cried Jack; he would have joyfully carried her all day for the chance of another mute appeal. "We must get on the hard ground first. Here! Pambana, you lead the way."
