OPERA HOUSE,
The performance at the Opera House on. Saturday night was witnessed by a large audience, and waß marked by frequent and) spontaneous applause. In the first part Messrs Sam Wilson, Lai Logic and Jack Hagan and Mies Nellie Power gave a number of laughprovoking contributions, while Mies Stella Ranger, Miss Lavinia Tyson and Mr Charles Howard supplied more serious items. " Ten Minutes in Shadowland " gave scope for the ingenuity of the shadow artists, and proved very mirth-provoking. Miss Florrie Ranger introduced some new eongs with burlesque accompaniment, and the Brewers repeated their clever American coon singing. The Driecolls were as funny as formerly, and had to respond to several encores, while Mr Frank King was similarly complimented. Mr Fred Rivenhiall interspersed his new comic songs with old favourites, that raised the audience to a high pitch of enthusiasm. Several capitally illustrated ballads were nicely sung by Miss Lavirm* Tyson, and the -performance concluded with an. original farce by Mr Sam Wilson.
