THE RHODES SCHOLARSHIP.
» ■ THE CANTERBURY CANDIDATE. The Professorial Boatrd of Canterbury College met this morning, and decided . to nominate Mr A. E. Curate, a Christchurch lad, for the Rhodes Scholarship. Mr Ouwifl is twenty-one yearns of age, and is at present in Messrs DougaH and TJphain s office in Ghaasteivitro'h. He has displayed high literary abilities in has studies, and has shown himself to bo a bright and capable student. He has also taken a good' position in athletics in ChrisfccliuroQ.' The final selection wiU be made in Wellington. He was born In Ohristchurch, and was educated at the Boys' ' High' School here and at Canterbury College. He took hia M. A. degree laefc year. For some time he. was editor of the " Oauterbury College Revisa."-
