' " Wheat.— About 43,000 quarters Victorian and South Australian wheat, January shipment, were sold at 31s 6d to 31s 10$ d per quarter, and a cargo by the City of Benares at 31s 4£d per Quarter. Linseed oil. — 25. Hides, leather, etc. — A few hides were sold at late rates. Basils have advanced a halfpenny; first Wellingtons I6id to 19£ d. Leather is unchanged, and but a. small business is doing. Rabbits. — The market is dull; large New Zealande 17s per -crate of 24, Sydneys 14s 6d to 15s, Melbournes 13s 6d tol4s6d. : Frozen meat.— Canterbury mutton, medium 4£d; other sorts and lamb and beef unchanged.
