CANADA AND AUSTRALIA. $ . THEIR PROGRESS COMPARED. United Piess Association— By Electric Telegraph— Copyright. (Received July 25, 9.46 a.m.) SYDNEY, July 25. The Minister of Lands, comparing Canada and Australia, shows that the latter is growing nearly twice as fast. Between 1901 and 1904 the proportionate increases? of population were: Canada 3.3, and Australia 0.7 per cent, and while Canada's trade was. £l7 10s, Australia's was £22 per head.
