CITY EDITION. PUBLISHED AT 4 P.M. THE BISLEY MEETING. SHOOTING FOR THE KING'S PRIZE.

United Piesa Association — By Electric Telegraph— Copyright. (Received July 21, 8.33 a.m.) LONDON, July 20. In the first stage of the King's Prize, Sergeant Drummond (Dannevirke) put on 100, Rifleman G. Hawthorne (Wellington) 98, Private Browne (Auckland) 97, Rifleman Craw (Chorlton) 95 and Rifleman Wilkie (Upper Hutt) 94. Captain Sargood (Australia) made 97 and Captain Brookes (Australia) 95. All are included in the 300 who shoot In [the second stage. (Sergeant Drummond is one of New Zealand's most brilliant young marksmen. In scoring 100 out of a possible 105 he has not only upheld his reputation as a marksman, but has proved that his non-inclusion in the Kolapore Cup eight was a great error of judgment. Colour-Sergeant Irvine, of Nelson, who was sixth in the King's Prize competition last year, has evidently failed to qualify for the second stage of the present match. Rifleman Milroy, too, who won the championship at the last Trentham meeting, has also failed to qualify for further engagement in the King's Prize. New Zealand's representation for the second Stage, however, is strong, and^ the colony should hold a good position in the final stage. The second stage of iho King's Match will be fired to-day itnd the final to-morrow.)
