Kenez, which, intending to touch at tha Bay of Islands (New Zealand), is driven, by a gale into Poverty Bay, near the East Cane The Natives are allowed aboard m large' numbers and finally aeize tha ship, killing the captain, mate and cook and taking twelve others prisoners. The ship is cttei ashore, plundered 1 and burnt.
