PARLIAMENT'S REGENERATION.
The unpopularity of representative assemblies has long been observed. Sent to represent others, they soon come to represent mainly themselves. The assembly intended to be a means to a national end becomes an end in itself. Every interest confided to the care of. a member of Parliament beoomes refracted in the House of Commons atmosphere. The average member of Parliament after a short term within the House, sees everything in a parliamentary, which ie an untrue, perspective; ke loses the nation in the House. — "Saturday Review." .
