A tax on posters is suggested. Why aot? What reason exist* for permitting the disfigurement of publio streets without restraint? The posters are usually an offence to the eye, and sometimes to morals, and they can- be >. readily put out of existence by the taxing method. Tax them to death ! — " Leslie's Weekly," New York.
