THE JALUIT AGREEMENT.

MELBOURNE, May 13.
The Governor-General has received 4 cable from the Secretary for; the Colonies intimating that the German Government has notified that "the agree* ment with the Jaluit Company at the Marshall Islands terminated on March 31. From April 1 the administration, especially the collection pf the revenue, had been transferred to tbe German Iniperial authorities, who will immediately revise the regulations, espeoiaUr as to the levying of the revenue taxes, and will remodel them on a basis bal« ancing the revenue and expenditure. The regulations will come into forte <a October 1.
