HENLEY HACK HANDICAP, of 50 soys; five furlong— Melinda, 7st 13lb (M'Cluskey), 1; Metford, Bsb 131 b, 2; Barbette, 7st lllb, 3. All jstarted. Meiinda almost immediately look command, and, leading the whole way, won by two lengths, with. Boxbette half a length away third. Time — lmin a 3-ss«c. Dividends— £s 2a and £2 16s. CITY STAKES HANDICAP, of 100 soys; five furlongs — G-lenowlet, Bst 13lb (Heriott), 1; Apollodoris,' 7sb slb, 2; HilariSy, Sst 21b, 3. Alexis Bst 9lb was scratched. "Won comfortably by three-pans of a length, the third horse a dozen lengths off. Time — lmin 8 3-5 eeo. Dividends — £1 16s and £5.
