DISLOCATION OF BUSINESS IN POLAND.
ST PETERSBURG, January 30. j Private advices from Warsaw state that the authorities there have already | taken over the control of the water- ' works aijd electric light and gas plants, and serious trouble is anticipated. At Kieff several big machine shops and engineering works are idle owing' to the strike there, and tEe bakeries are partially closed, with the result that j the price of bread has risen. The military are patrolling the streets. At Mitau there nave been some disorders, and a police superintendent was .-j wounded. The troops there have not yet used their arms. A battery of artillery and a battalion of infantry have been despatched from Vilna to Libau.
