The manager of the Orient Steam* ship Company here has no information regarding the new arrangement as ta sailing referred to in the cable mess* ages, but he is not surprised, now that the company has' ceased the mail contract, that the sailings should be arranged solely on lines. MELBOURNE, February 20. It is understood .that the Orient Steamship Company has approached the Postmaster-General with an offer to oarry the mails for £120,000.
