SUDDEN DEATH.

CHARGE OF MANSLAUGHTER. , [Per Press Association] PALMERSTON NORTH, November 10. An elderly woman named Sophia fciderkin, a restaurant-keeper, died suddenly yesterday morning, and subsequently, William Saundere, a bricklayer, residing on the premises was arrested on a charge of being concerned in her death. It is alleged that Saunders had a dispute with her on November 5, which ended in the- woman falling heavily to the floor. She appeared unhurt at 'the time, but later on she comr plained of being ill, and died as stated. At the Court this morning, Sa-unde.vs was charged with assaulting the deceased, whereby her death was caused, and he was remanded till to-morrow, pending the result of the inquest this afternoon.
