AUCKLAND NOTES.
[Peb, Press Association.] AUCKLAND, November 2. Good striding exercise was principally indulged in this morning. The course proper was only open for a few gallops. Newtown accomplished the fastest gallop of the season, running once round in 2min 4£sec. Gladstone accompanied him for seven furlongs, run in j lmin 37Jsec, both moving remarkably well. King Paul beat Lady Hune once round in 2min 7sec, and Submarine and Boomerang spurted half a mile in 64£ sec. Dardanus brushed over two furlongs on the sand in 24£ sec. Boris arrived from the south this morning.
