(Received June 8, 9.37 a.m.) LONDON, June 7/ • The death is announced of Sir James Arndell Youi, one of the promoters of the Royal Colonial Institute, and prominently connected with tie introduction of salmon into New Zealand ; aged riineiy-five. ' (Sir James. Arndell Youl, K.C.M/G., was direotor of the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney. Hhe was Political Agent for Tasmania from 1861 to 1863 : ; for seven years honorary secretary and treasurer for vbe Australian Association, and took on active part in the introduction of salmon into tibe waters of Tasmania and New' Zealand ; received in 1866 the gold) medal of La So; ciete d' Acclimatisation, and was one of the founders of tihe Royal Colonial institute, London.)
