THE COOGEE COLLISION.

/ *~ FINDING OF THE COURT. United Presa Association— By Eletetrio Telegraph— Copyright. (Received February 27, 10.25 a.m.) MELBOURNE, February 27. In answer to the question whether the chief mate and crew left the. Coogee shortly after the collision, the Marine Court found that all but one appear to have been panic stricken, and deserted the>^hip. In regard to the chief officer, he had been knocked down, and had a most marvellous e*o»pe, as his cabin was swept away. The Court can only reconcile his extraordinary conduct in going on board the Fortunato Figaro, as he says, to get a boat, after being assured of the seaworthiness o£ the Coogee, with the assumption that he was dazed and rendered partially irresponsible from the shock and injuries he sustained.
