THE LABOUR PARTY AND IMMIGRATION. "United Press Association.— By Electric TelegTaph— Ccpyrigh t, (Eeccived January 15, 9.23 a.m.) SYDNEY, January 15. Speaking at Temora, Mr Watson, leader of the Labour Party, declared that the Party favoured immigration conditionally on the immigrants being free from contract. He advocated the Government starting a line of steamers if the shipping ring did not deal fairly with the people.
