The Japanese proposals are much more favourable to Korea than the Russian. It is believed that Wiju and Yongainpho will shortly be opened to foreign trade. ' Lloyd's quotation against war within ai month is nominally fifty guineas per cent. The insurance on cargo to Japan in Japanese steamers is about 25 or 30 per cent.
