A BOATING FATALITY.

. , ~^— _ THREE PERSONS DROWNED. [Pick Phbss Association.] COROMANDEL, December 21. A patty, consisting of William Edgar, James Roil and Donald Calder., together with three others, P. Petley, J. ftirk and Leslie Roil (aged twelve), were anchored in a yacht near Pitas Island fishing, when a squall struck the yacht, which capsized. Petley, Kirk, Roil and the latter s sou struck out for fhe shore and two men put off to their assistance, and rescued Kirk, Leslie Roil and Petley, but Calder was seen to throw up his hand and sink. James Roil, Edgar and Calder, who were fully clothed at the time of the capsize, were drowned. Roil, whe was a married man, was a blacksmith. He leaves a wife and four children. Calder, who lost an arm some years ago, was an accountant. He leaves a wife and five young children. Edgar was a miner, aged sixty. He leaves a wife and a grown-up son and daughter.
