THE NEW PARLIAMENT.
PARTY FORECASTS. United Press Association— By Elecirio Telegraph— Copyright. (Received December 18, 9-51 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 18. Tho returns received up to an early hour this morning make it possible to give something like an estimate of the constitution of the new Parliament, though there are still somo seats in doubt, notably, those of Mr Chanter, Riverina," and Sir Malcolm M'Eaehem, Melbourne. . The " Sydney Morning Herald M forecasts the now House" to consist of 27 Ministerialists, 25 Labour members, 22 Oppositionists and on© Independent ; and the Senate to comprise 15 Labour members^ 19' Oppositionists, 7 Ministerialists and 2 Independents. The " Daily Telegraph," allowing for one seat still very doubtful, makes the new House consist of 27 Ministerial members, 26 Opposition and 21 Labour. The difference in the figures is accounted for by the fact that, in the case of the " Telegraph," certain Labour members were counted with the Opposition, owing to their fiscal views.
