In the Legislative Council, the Factories Act was recommitted, and. a clause was added exempting members of an employer's j family, related in the first and second degree by blood or marriage; shearers also are exempted f rom> the operation of the Act. The Legislative Assembly . subsequently dealt with the Bill, and accepted the Cotmcil'a amendment limiting the duration to two years, but disagreed with » number of others, and returned them to the Council, which postponed consideration till to-day. -
