■ * — — ♦ — — ■ I On Wednesday last, iii the Trinity Hall, j the employees of the costume department j of -the Kaiapoi Woollen Company presented ' Mr Woollams, the manager of the depart- 1 ment, with a handsome gold, watch, on. the | occasion of severinghis connection with the '' firm. Mrs Wool Lams was also presented with a gold chain and greenstone hearj; at- \ tached. During the evening songs were sung by Misses Trethewey, Pearce, M'Ken- ' dry, P. Muir 'and Mr Woollams. Mi'sm M'Quillan gave a violin* solo, and the Misses Roberts a mandolin solo. Gramophone selections were also given by Mv Ellis. Dancing followed, and the .singing of "Auld Lang Syne" 'brought a most en- ! ' joyjfolo qv-ggiPg to a. close*. I
