SATURDAY'S " STAR."

Lovers of sensational fiction will be delighted with the new serial just commenced in the Saturday's issue of the " Star." It is entitled "The Honorable Miss Judas," and is written by Frank Barrett, an author who has already made his mark as a writer of fiction. The first instalment — a very liberal one — of the new story, will occupy the first page of Saturday's issue. In the department of the paper devoted to tales and) sketches there will also be found the following:— "M'Turk, Em-pire-Builder," "At High Tide," " the Talking Light Beam," an article on Mr A. J. Balf our, Prime Minister of Britain, " When Countries go to Law," "Supplied by Slot Machine," and others. The season is fast approaching when every hour of daylight will foe golden to the amateur gardener, and he will read with renewed interest the practical advice given in "Work for the Week." In the ladies' oolumuis will be found, in addition to the. usual and permanent sections, "The Irresistible Mrs Ma'hane," "A Parisian Novelty," "Ball at Windsor Castle," "How to Make Old Bibbons New," etc. The general reading will comprise " The Week," the "Bandsmen's Column," "Brief Mention," " Fim and Fancy," etc. , and tho latest cable, telegraphic, local and general news. Th« latest edition — a specif] <-n,» for athletio events — is published at eight o'clock in the evening, and there are besides the usual edition published at three o'clock for country, and the one at four o'clock for city and 1 suburban ' readers.
