The annual meeting of the New Zealand Fox-terrier Club was held at Wellington' on Friday evening, Mr Paul Hunter. in the chair. The report and balance-sheet, which showed that the club had enjoyed a successful year, were adopted. Ifc was decided that the next show should tfe held at Xapier in August next, and subscriptions are to be, invited by circular to institute a fifty-guinea challenge cup for competition at the club's shows. The election of officers and delegates resulted as follows: — Patron, Mr Paul Hunter; president, Mr G. R. Hutchinson; vice-presidents, Messrs W. A. Smith, J. F. Mills, E. Webster and J. Lister Kay ; delegates, Messrs J. Philpot (Auckland), S. E. Harrop (Hawke's Bay), J; M'lntosh (Wellington), J. Webster (Dunedin) and J. T. E. Harrap (Invercargill); auditors, Messrs J. Webster and S. E. Harrop; honorary treasurer, Mr F. W. Vosseler; honorary secretary, Mr J. F. iitzgerald. According to the annual report of the New Zealand Kennel Olub, which was adopted at the meeting at Wellington on Friday, the club has a credit balance of £94 Is, including £26 13s lOd outstanding accounts. Arrangement has been made with the Union Steamship Company that dogs sent to affiliated shows will be returned for half the cost of the usual freight if a certificate similar to the one required by the Railway Department is sent, signed) by the secretary of the club holding the show. A new Register, comprising twenty volumes, has been opened, and the registrations for a number of years past are now

in course of entry. Messrs R. E. Bannister, H. E. Dovey ami L. W. B. Andreves were re-elected president, secretary and treasurer respectively. It was decided to charge a uniform fee of one shilling for registration, transfer and other entries. A new regulation was adopted making clubs which receive registration fees responsible for the fees on unregistered dogs exhibited at their shows. Some alterations in the definitions of classes were made.
