A LETTER FROM MR SEDDON. United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph — Copyright. (Received May 8, 11.12 a.m.) MELBOURNE, May 8. The Lord Mayor, presiding at a meeting of the Drought Relief Committee, read a. letter from Mr Seddon, covering a'donation of £100 from I Mr Hugh Campbell. Mv Seddon says: — "I need hardly state that the- sufferers have the sincere sympathy oij mysrelf and my colleagues.- Had the several State Governments seen their way some months !ago to accept proffered aid I feel! sure material assistance would have ensued.. The offer was intended only as a neigh-v hourly action, and in accepting it no loss of prestige would have happened to Aus•tralia."/ ,-"\ ' . , •
