Won by a .Jongtti. Dividends— Black Reynard £1 11s Gel, Full Cry £2 Ha Sd. BACK HURDI/E RACE— Lady Bell 1, Rags 2, Cavalcada 3. Hawexa, Oracle, Highton and The Hermit also started. Hawera and The Hermit fell. Won comfortably. Time— 2niin 53 l-ssec. Dividends— £3 6s .and JEI 9s 6d. TAWHITI HANDICAP, of 60 soya; six furlongs— Stepson, 7at 3lb, 1; Sandy, 7st 111 b, 2; Rapids, 7st, 3. -All started but Siandra aotid Kidbrpok. Won. by a 'head. Time— lmin. 18 l-ssoo. The usual monthly meeting ■oif the Canterbury Jockey Cub was. held ioa Tuesday. A trainer's .licen-so was granted to L. ; D. .King. Th-e report of the Judicial Committee in tine Hydrant case did nob endorse tho disqualification of J. Sowmaji, the owner, but endorsed that of I. Ja.m6s, th« ';ita,iner, H. Pickering, the rider, and tho ihorse Hydrant. Tlhe report was adopted. The disquailifiaaitioin of oerfcain competitors .at the Springston sports meeting ■was removed, .at the request cf x'he club. Tlhe disqualification of J. Close and the horse Kulnina, by the EJaikoura Hack Racing Club, -was endorsed. An iappea.l by E. 'Curdy against a decision of £ha Ohertsey Sports Club -was refen's'd to {ihe Judicial Committee to report on. Tiansfers were granted iroxn C. Notice of sn'otion was j given to Jiavo flags placed on tho wings _of ■hurdles in Orardle xaces, any ih'orsea jumpijig dnside the flags to be conaideied to have completed tihe course.
