FEDERAL SHIPPING RESTRICTIONS.

Mr Kingston, who has been on a tour of North Queensland, has arrived at Newcastle. He met with a somewhat cold reception publicly. The masters of the ships, who are aggrieved at the restrictions placed by the Customs on shipping, 'declined to/ decorate their vessels. A deputation of shipmasters requested the removal of the restrictions cm the use of ships-' stores. Mr Kingston, inreply, said the question was receiving attention, and revised regulations would! 'be issued in a few weeks.
