DERELICT'S ADVENTURES.
ABANDONED AND PICKED UP. A curious instance of a derelict schooner abandoned by the crew being taken over again by the same men has just occurred at Corunna. j The schooner Tasman left St. John's, Newfoundland, on Jan. 24 last, for Oporto. | Portugal, with a cargo of salt fish. Terrific gales lasted 1 for. twenty-four dlaysj and everything movable was washed awfty; Eventually the vessel sprang a lealc, both , pumps becoming useless, andi the large boat having been .carried overboard, the crew of six decided to abandon the ship. They were taken on board the steamer Indien, of Rotterdam!, on March 3, and reached London absolutely destitute. Meantime the British steamer Cossack had found the derelict Tasman, 120 miles north-west of Oorunna, and towed her into that port. The crew of the Taaman left London to resume control of th£fo vessel.
