A record booking resulted at the. box office this morning, on the opening of the plan for the first night of the Nellie Steward comedy season. "Sweet Nell of Old Driu y " was played for the last time in Dunedin last night, when the twelfth ' performance drew a crowded house. Miss Nellio Stewart, by reason of he.r Teoant great comedy successes, should perhaps be justly regarded as one- of the most versatile of present-day actresses. Her admittedly splendid interpretation of the famous " (X&uge Girl" ha 9 drawn enthusiastic eulogies Vrom. the Press and public of v Australasia.. In Messrs Haxeom't and Beatty and iba other principals the company is said to possess many sterling actors and actresses with, an excellent English and Australian reputation. Late trams will nin to Sumner and other suburbs throughout next week, for the convenience of theatregoers. .
