ARRIVAL IN CHRISTCHURCH.

The Boer delegates arrived from Wellington this morning, by the Rotomahana, and came Tip to Ouristchurch by the "special train, which arrived at about eleven o'«lock.| They were mei at Lyttelton- by the Chief Inspector of Stock, Mr A. Turner, and a$ Christchurch Mr H. Overton and Mr O. B. Pemberton, representing the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association, were waiting to receive them, and take them to Coker's Hotel, where they will stay while in Ohristchurch. The delegates are Mr Jooste, Mr. Lane and Mr Root, and they are accompanied by Mrs Jooste and Mra Lane, and Captain Kirkpatrick," of Victoria, who is practically conducting the tour. Their visit to Canterbury is part of their plan of seeing the whole colony, mainly from a farming point of view, and gathering *uch infonriation and experience as may be useful to their fellow-countrymen in South Africa. They will probably leave on Monday morning for ai tour of the Peninsula, with a view to seeing, the harvesting operations, in which they -are much, interested. In spite of the really awful amount of travelling they have gone through, the members of the par6y are stilt ankious for more. They have been greatly pleased trith what they have seen in the North Island, and also with, the reception that has been accorded them everywhere. A very short conversation with them is sufficient to show that they are keen observers, that they have a very definite purpose be 1 fore them, and that they are in a fair way to accomplish that purpose, at the same time enjoying their trip thoroughly.
